ABSTRACT
The chapter reviews the ideological and sociological changes that characterize modernity and outlines their impact on Jewish theology and the structure of Jewish life. It then investigates some of the key challenges for Jewish ethics as it develops in the context of a modern, secular, pluralistic society.
