ABSTRACT
Imagine that you are walking into an engineering meeting in the United States involving both Americans and Japanese. You know that this group has been working together for several months and that the Japanese will be in the United States for one week. It is your first meeting with them. You find an empty seat along one wall, sit down, and look around. Things somehow seem different.
