ABSTRACT
There are a number of excellent texts on the United States Supreme Court that discuss everything from a comprehensive history of the Court to the process of nominating justices. The present brief account focuses only on the court's structure, its jurisdiction, its litigation procedure, and the preparation and the effect of its decisions and opinions. The account includes, as it must, frequent reference to Court history.
