ABSTRACT

Lucinda knew the day would come when her parents would move her grandmother, Sarah, to a nursing home. She just did not expect it to be so soon.

When Sarah was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Lucinda and her parents decided that Sarah would live with them. Lucinda remembers her parents’ excitement as they rearranged the guest rooms to accommodate her grandmother. But in less than one month, the new arrangement led to conflicts and bickering: not with Sarah, but between Lucinda’s parents.
