Survey research is one of the most popular ways of gathering informa-tion. It is so easy; almost anyone can do it. All you need is a page full ofquestions, a copy machine to duplicate dozens (perhaps hundreds) of copies of the question sheet, and people to fill in the answers to your questions. Right? Well, not quite. Good survey research is a bit more complicated than that.
