ABSTRACT
Communication using the written or printed word is still important inthe twenty-first century. With all the ways we have to communicateelectronically, one might assume that writing normally required in an academic or research setting would have risen above the old-fashioned handwritten or typed word. After all, we have a plethora of electronic ways to communicate: text messages, e-mail, cell phones, and the like.
