ABSTRACT
Analysis of the market structure, behavior, and performance of the Frasch sulphur industry was undertaken with the view in mind of investigating the use of market power and evaluating the implications of such use for the public welfare. The purpose of this chapter is to summarize the important aspects of the domestic sulphur industry’s market structure, behavior, and performance and to set forth the author’s conclusions regarding the workability of competition in the industry.
