ABSTRACT

We live in a time of increasing complexity, one in which cultural progress is happening in the context of cross-fertilization, where advances in one field of knowledge enrich and catalyze discovery in another. Technology in particular has allowed for dialogic exchange across cultural and national boundaries like never before. In Nitsun’s (2014) words, “As we move further into the twenty-first century, there is a sense of such penetrating change that diverse spheres of thought, action and imagination may be expected to collide in unexpected, even radical ways” (p. 185).
