A recording studio's control room serves a number of purposes in the recording process. Ideally, the control room is acoustically isolated from the sounds that are produced in the studio, as well as from the surrounding, outer areas. The role of the professional recording studio has begun to change as a result of upsurges in project studios, audio for video and/or film, multimedia and the Internet.
