ABSTRACT
Familiarizing readers with learning theories and philosophies of education, such as behaviorism, cognitivism, and socioculturalism, Chapter Two offers insight into some foundational principles that guide many pedagogical decisions and support an understanding of the language and values of the educational profession. In so doing, this chapter supports sustained understanding and communication among all partners as they consider educational practice and technology integration.
