ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on gaining access to K-12 public and private schools and the steps company representatives, K-12 school administration and faculty, and university researchers must consider before engaging in a partnership that involves the implementation and/or continued use of technology in K-12 schools. Access to sites can be impacted by a company’s structure, a study’s design, stakeholders’ short- and long-term goals, and other entities involved (e.g., a university research team, the K-12 school itself).
