ABSTRACT
Part VIII consists of eight shorter chapters that focus on primitive accumulation, the historical development of capitalism, and colonialism. In the German edition, Marx summarised chapters 26 through 32 as one overall chapter called “24: So-Called Primitive Accumulation”, which has 7 sections. Chapter 33 forms a separate short chapter in the German edition (chapter 25). So this section covers chapters 24 and 25 in the German edition and chapters 26 through 33 in the English edition of Capital Volume 1.
