ABSTRACT

The final section of this book summarises its most significant contributions. The main argument is that the corpus triangulation framework contributes to the advancement of corpus-based translation studies by offering a novel and much-needed framework for the analysis of translation-related phenomena. The book has also introduced a new typology for the description of corpora and highlighted the importance of quantitative methods in translation studies. While undoubtedly the main contribution is to corpus-based translation studies, other disciplines might also benefit from this framework, most notably corpus linguistics, historical linguistics, literary studies and the social sciences.
