ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses professionalization in and by the fi nancial sector, or more specifi cally stock analysts, which have recently become, and today remain, the most professionalized profession in this industry. The analyst has, in the last two or three decades, obtained an increasingly infl uential and central position as being an expert in the fi nancial sector.
