ABSTRACT

This article is based on the oral history interviews of Khien and Sarasin. It draws upon their encountering and choices, which led to the making of each of their individual intellectual paths and contribution to Chinese studies in Thailand by presenting first their life history in chronological order, including their education, work, and academic contributions. The article then makes an analysis and comparison of the two scholars’ intellectual paths, thus presenting the significant roles that each of them, upon their intellectual choices, has made to the knowledge and understanding of China in Thailand.
