ABSTRACT
We saw in Chapter 5 that Ernest Hart of the British Medical Journal commissioned an enquiry into abortion and baby-farming in 1868, and the undercover method employed was a classic of its kind, to be copied by others in subsequent journalistic investigations, the last of which was that undertaken by The Sun between October and December 1895.
