ABSTRACT
We controlled for company age. Moreover, our design included enterprises from four different industries and, therefore, we controlled for the type of industry. An additional difference in the characteristics of firms in different countries might be firm size. In order to test whether our results are biased by firm size, we conducted robustness tests controlling for sales levels and found similar results.
