We used three as predictors and two as controls because (1) ‘humane orientation’ and ‘female egalitarianism’ dropped out of equations due to multicollinearity with the seven other dimensions and (2) out of the remaining seven, two dimensions – power distance and future orientation – were never statistically significant in any model, nor in robustness checks. Hence, we dropped them from the models presented. These analyses are available upon request.
