ABSTRACT

One challenge that every educator faces is when there is an accusation that something is not fair. Every teacher has a “classroom lawyer” who is constantly in the “It’s not fair!” mode in life. As experienced teachers though, this may still become exasperating. We have often developed ways to reduce the amount of “fair debates” that occur in our classrooms. We may have established an effective approach that works with students; however, it is essential that we can also work with parents when they accuse us of not being fair with their child.
