Taiwan (in some ways similar to Japan, Italy and Spain) has a strong family care culture and a mixed care-market economy, including migrant care workers. Additionally, by including Taiwan, this study fills an important gap in cross-continent-Europe and East Asia-learning. Finally, the paper concludes with a discussion of its main findings and their implications for policy.
