ABSTRACT

The author presents his digital approach at various Professional Development Workshops (PDWs), and costume symposiums, and at multiple colleges around the USA. The tools in Photoshop have allowed him to create digital costume renderings, using multiple black & white outline silhouette layers, and then "flatting" them. This is a technique that the author has taught via online classes, and YouTube videos. This book contains various chapters, with tutorials that will assist the reader in translating the complete design process into a Web-sharing platform. With each step, the author describes the type of software and applications that work best, and ways to use Web sharing–avoiding superfluous printing–and end with a greener approach. By the end of it, the reader will be able to create Web archives to share with production teams, and feature on their professional website.
