ABSTRACT

People set goals all the time – that’s the easy part. Most of us know what we want to achieve. Whether it’s learning to make sushi, eating more healthily or exercising more, completion of a goal is often where people get stuck. Setting regular and realistic goals builds resilience. Goals do not necessarily have to be fully realised for this to be true. Resilience comes through learning from goals that were not reached, just as much as from the sense of accomplishment when a task is completed.
