ABSTRACT

Always immaculate in appearance and on time for interviews, Victoria came across to us as serious, studious, and well-organised – an impression not unlike the one she gave Harriet, her supervisor, who described her as a ‘diligent,’ ‘organised,’ ‘well-prepared,’ and ‘professional’ supervisee:

It’s almost like she could have been like somebody from the corporate world or something. She was always very well presented, very well dressed, very organised, very efficient. It was like she was actually doing a job.
