ABSTRACT
As most of the catalogs of Cage’s artistic output are arranged chronologically, I offer here an alternative arrangement that might aid those interested in the performance of Cage’s work. The overriding organization here is based on instrumentation. Unpublished works are generally not included. See the New York Public Library John Cage Music Manuscript Collection (item 374) for unpublished works information. There are a number of “one-off” events that are significant but are not published; only the most important are listed here.
