ABSTRACT
At the core of prejudice is the idea that people do not possess the individual traits that allow them to escape their group identity, making them predictable in their actions and words and, therefore, easy to categorise and judge. If prejudice is the negative over-generalisation of people and groups leading to hasty judgement, it stands to reason that education should attempt to give learners tools to better understand their interlocutors so that they can temper such over-generalisations and refrain from such hasty judgements.
