ABSTRACT

This chapter provides the output signals of the add/drop filter system, where the single soliton pulses of dark and bright can be obtained. To recover the pulses from the chaotic noises in the fiber ring resonator, the use of an add/drop filter system with the appropriate parameters is recommended. Exciting new technological progress, particularly in the field of the micro-ring resonators (MRRs) interferometers, provide the foundation for the development of new transmission techniques. The highly chaotic signals can be generated and sliced into ultra-short single and multi-soliton pulses. The series of MRRs connected to an add/drop filter system, is used in many applications in optical communication and signal processing. This system can be used to generate optical soliton pulses of high frequency, thus providing required signals used in wired/wireless optical communication such as all optical Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing to be applied for Microwave Access applications.
