ABSTRACT
In Chapter 10 we will examine leadership within the public organization. This chapter will provide you with practical leadership examples, with an emphasis on the managerial responsibilities of the leader. The discussion will then turn to various and competing theories of “good” leadership. To conclude, we will explore leadership and power, as well as the importance of effective communication in co-ordinating the human eleme nts of the organization.
