What forms of innovation does the Foundation represent? And is it only the Foundation

that is an agent for change? Before answering the questions, let us note that it is not a

stand-alone organization: networking is at the core of the philosophy, laying the foun-

dations for their goals and activities. It does not take over any specific management func-

tions of (mostly luxurious) hotels located in historical residences. All partners and

affiliates of the Foundation contribute to the Foundation’s general objective, i.e. the pro-

motion and conservation of the region’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
