In almost all countries, there exist a number of Web portals helping potential tourists plan their trip and find the most suitable accommodations. HSprovider has been able to recognize and leverage one of these new service opportunities. From HSprovider's perspective, the Italian Tourism and Travel (T&T) market is therefore very appealing, since it lacks the offer of an outsourced service of global revenue management and, generally, the offer of integrated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions for family-owned hotels. In the collaborative approach, HSprovider must minimize the overhead for the Global Distributed Systems (GDS), Internet Distributed Systems (IDS), or Web portal servers, but it gains access to the whole set of required information. Transparent approach is the most interesting approach for collecting context knowledge from a technological standpoint. In this case, HSprovider's Yield Management System (YMS) can retrieve information on applied prices, promotional offers, available services, and occupation for competitors.
