ABSTRACT

Bisexuality has perhaps never been acknowledged as a legitimate sexual identity. Steven Angelides (2001) succinctly sums up the societal attitudes about bisexuality:

The refusal to view bisexuality as a valid sexual identity has certainly been a major culprit in creating and maintaining bisexuality’s erasure in school culture, which has not been conducive to the health and welfare of bisexual or sexually fluid school-aged youth.
