ABSTRACT
As an eight-year-old schoolgirl, Joel Prendergast suffered a traumatic experience at her Ohio elementary school. One day her teacher gave the class an assignment to write a poem. The young student, inspired by the opportunity, excitedly delved into the assignment with enthusiasm and recalls:
