Russia, the United States, and Great Britain on the Pacific Northwest at the End of the Eighteenth and the Beginning of the Nineteenth Centuries

Russian-American relations and Russian Alaska the issues raised in the diplomatic relations between Russia and the United States. The purpose of this article is to devote attention to the historical development of the financial and economic activities of the Russian America Company (RAC) in the North Pacific and to show the degree of Russia's interest in business and diplomatic relations with foreigners, particularly with the representatives of the United States, understand to the prohibition of some of these relations in 1821 and to the conclusion of the 1824-1825 conventions on the delimitation of territories in the Northwest of America. Two countries expressed the most concern: Great Britain and the United States. Grigory Shelikhov and his wife Natalia, together with a team of 192 fur hunters and traders, hold the honor of constructing the first permanent Russian settlements on the shores of America in 1784. Rezanov was the leader of the expedition, carrying special orders of Emperor Alexander I.
