ABSTRACT

Distribution is the process of getting the product from the producer to the consumer. Distribution can involve selling the product directly to a consumer or indirectly through the use of an intermediary. A choice for distribution is using an online marketplace that sells the products of several producers. Of course, creative and cultural organizations may not have the resources to develop their own apps, but the retailers they sell to may soon have these to offer customers. The social media sites differ from traditional e-commerce websites as they allow for curating of products. The decision of what channel to use for distribution will be based on both the location of the purchaser of the product and the location where the product is produced. If direct distribution, include information on the studio from which you plan to sell, any fairs or events attend, and e-commerce ability. If indirect, provide information on the retailer or the online marketplace that will be used.
