ABSTRACT

In this final chapter, it is appropriate to explore an aggregate methodology that encompasses, at least in part, virtually every critical perspective that has been examined in earlier sections of our book. This four-part schema, which we label composite criticism, has its roots in the writings of George Santayana and Jerome Stolnitz. In his university lectures, Professor and television producer/director Thomas Olson then refined the methodology and applied it specifically to the task of electronic media critiquing.
