ABSTRACT

The once totally desktop-centric approach to website design has changed a great deal since the emergence of mobile devices and the need to deliver websites on them to provide more convenient ways for people to access websites. User experience (UX) describes the experience of a user during interaction with a website, product, or service. The importance of the need for a website to project credibility cannot be over-stated, in that a website represents the first impression total strangers get about the owner of the site. Usefulness is defined as the combination of utility and usability. Advertising is an important element of Web design because it is a money-making concept; as a result, most commercial websites carry one type of advert or another, including in the form of pop-ups and banners. The single overarching principle of user-interface design is that a good interface is self-explanatory, irrespective of type.
