ABSTRACT

There are dozens of sport science fields, such as physiology, medicine and biochemistry, hundreds of research directions and thousands of empirical studies about different aspects of bodily functions in games playing and practicing. For analytical purposes five main resources must be considered as basing an athlete's physical and mental abilities on the level of individual (Level I): perceptive-cognitive, mental, motor, anthropological and motion-energetic resources. These five resources of athletes are nourished and supported by five main bodily systems on Level I: the muscle-skeletal system, central and peripheral nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system and digestive system. The chapter relates to general approaches to analytics on Level I, the majority of L-, C- and R-factors are strongly associated with certain kinds of games. The anthropological parameters of athletes are a clear example of stable L-factors. The proposed logical schema shows how the processed evaluations of bodily systems could be taken into account in constructing explanative, descriptive and predictive models.
