ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to outline the concept of risk and the principles and practice of risk management in the context of health-related disasters. On completion of this chapter you should be able to:
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of disaster health-related risk and the application of risk management as a means of achieving community and organisational objectives in the context of disasters.
