ABSTRACT

This chapter explores current key drivers of change, and their impact at three levels. There are namely as the global level, the government level that is higher education (HE) policy and the individual institution level. Such drivers have been an increase in blended learning, redesigning learning spaces and attempts to measure learning and demonstrate return on investment as the cost of HE increases faster than inflation. Rolf Tarrach identifies few key drivers of change in HE. Langland's identification of the curriculum as central to the shaping of graduates is an important one. The Hub is a fantastic opportunity, not just to deliver a new and vibrant space for our learning community. But, it also focuses on how we can better provide and deploy our human resources, and our physical and virtual infrastructure, to deliver learning across campus for the twenty-first century and beyond.
