ABSTRACT

At the beginning of the twenty-first century, under the existing conditions of the world economic globalization and a growing shortage of traditional energy resources, major economic powers have paid close attention to the Siberian and Far Eastern regions of Russia. It is worth noting that the mere geographic position of countries such as China and Japan, located in close proximity to these underdeveloped Russian territories, naturally leads them to consider doing business there. Leading Chinese and Japanese companies have fully realized the prospects of large-scale investment generally in the development of production and rich natural resources, not only in the border territories, but also in the central regions of the Asian part of Russia.
