ABSTRACT

As in Chapter 6 (where we presented same-age peer tutoring programmes), the present chapter describes seven educational experiences in which cross-age peer tutoring is applied. Also as in Chapter 6, the seven selected experiences are examples from a diverse range of educational levels (i.e., from primary school to university), in different continents and countries (i.e., USA, UK, Canada, Israel, New Zealand, Belgium), and address a wide variety of subjects. They focus on both cognitive outcomes and on skill development (i.e., reading, maths, instructional sciences, clinical medical skills, and physical education skills).
