ABSTRACT

A candidate should be mindful of the questions City & Guilds will generate for both the theory exams; they will be exacting and probing. Therefore, candidates are strongly advised to be fully prepared to meet the demands of both the theory and practical exams. This objective can be realised with the assistance of Institution of Engineering and Technology's (IET) Guidance Note. This chapter focuses on initial verification and periodic inspection. In case of initial verification it consist of question like; State one statutory document an inspector may refer to when conducting an inspection and testing of an installation and State the personal electrical precautions an inspector should take during the initial verification. on the other hand periodic inspection consist of qustions like; State the purpose of a periodic inspection and State three reasons why supplementary equipotential bonding can be omitted from a bathroom where there is an equipotential bonding system.
