One person should be designated the timekeeper. This person makes sure that the interview does nol extend too long, interrupting the workday of the interviewee. The timekeeper needs to monitor the interactions carefull y to identify the point at which the interview should draw to a close. It pays to establish a predetennined signal or code to indicate an appropriate closing point. When working alone, you must fill each of these roles yourself. II is a real luxury to have team members who can take the pressure off by accepting one or more o f these roles.
