ABSTRACT

Today it is possible for humans to orbit the earth and view it in its totality from deep space. Yet on earth, in many respects, we don’t seem to think of the world as being one. Or if we do, then only with ourselves at the center. After all, is the United States not the most powerful and technologically advanced country in the world? Aren’t even the Russians now imitating the very system that has made us prominent—capitalism? On the one hand, many of us regard people on other continents as almost being from different planets, while on the other hand, we allow them the chance of one day becoming like us if they will only embrace rationality and develop themselves in the right direction.
