ABSTRACT
Bullitt Lowry has developed a book review that enables students to identify historical themes in the literature of ancient and classical societies and analyze these themes in terms of the society. Students enjoy the work and can acquire interesting insights into the lives of ancient and classical peoples. While this particular assignment applies to early periods, the same review is just as applicable to later periods of history.
