ABSTRACT

It does not matter exactly where it happened-central city or suburb-but that it did happen. A young man of twenty-four years walked out of his apartment toward the dumpster to throw out the trash. Having completed his task, he was about to return to his apartment when three teenagers surrounded him. They subsequently gave the twenty-four-year-old a beating. A young man had found himself at the wrong place at the wrong time, perhaps? But how could this have been the wrong place? It was where he lived; it was the place he called home.
