ABSTRACT
All management planning can be categorized into three types: strategic planning, tactical planning, or operational planning. These planning categories are sequential, that is strategic precedes tactical planning, and tactical planning precedes operational planning. All organizations have to perform all three types of planning (Bryson 2004; Lasher 2004).
