ABSTRACT
Alexander Rondeli was not only an excellent tamada, or toastmaster. He was also a primary guide to lead greenhorn Georgia specialists like me (and Rowell, Sheets, and other members of the post-Soviet hack-pack) through the minefield of post-Soviet Georgian politics in general and specifically in regards to Georgia’s increasingly strained geostrategic relationship with Russia.
