YALOW, ROSALYN SUSSMAN (b. 1921) Scientist, second woman to win the Nobel Prize in medicine. Rosalyn Sussman was born in New York City to Clara and Simon Sussman. Neither of her parents had a high school education, but both were determined that their children would get as much education as they could.
