ABSTRACT
In the Bible, Aaron was the son of Jocheved and Amram (Exod. 6:20), the elder brother of Moses (Exod. 6:20, 7:7), the first high priest of the people of Israel (Exod. 40:13), and the ancestor of the priestly clan identified as cohanim (1 Chr. 24). The Hebrew Bible does not provide any details about his childhood.
