ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on faculty as producers of digital information are itself a traditional construct that further supports the fact that what really matters is faculty publication. The approach to technology and tenure review fails to recognize what is potentially transforming about new media when students create digital information, and ultimately why they should value and measure the importance of the work. Students uploads a wide range of files to Web team directories in WebCT, including HTML and XHTML documents, digital images, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). It concerns of hypertext and Web theory. The information literacy component provides a rigorous approach to academic research methods and is an effective way to bridge information theory and information technology through practice. WebCT is a course management system for faculty to post Web-based materials in a secure environment and to facilitate interactivity among students online.
